Cooking for a crowd can be fun — or it can be crazy stressful. Now that we're in the heat of football season (Go Giants? 😭) finding good crowd-friendly recipes can be difficult. You want to make something filling, something that everyone likes, and that doesn't have a ton of components. Because who wants to spend all day toiling in the kitchen, only to miss the kickoff?

This chili dog casserole could not be easier. It starts as many of the easiest recipes do: with crescent dough. Cut it into squares and add cheese, lots of cheese. We chose cheddar but any melty cheese will do. Next comes the hot dogs; wrap 'em up like giant pigs in a blanket!
Next, nestle your dogs in a bed of delicious chili. You could use homemade but for simplicity we opted for the canned stuff. If you feel like really making them special, mix a little garlic powder and chives into some melted butter and brush the dogs with the mixture. Trust us, it makes a big difference. Pop them in the oven until they're golden, serve them out of the dish, and watch them disappear. Touchdown!
