One of the most anticipated shows of the fall is finally returning: STRANGER THINGS! The Netflix show about a group of kids battling a demon from the "upside-down" hooked me from episode one, and I've been aching for the new season to start. I'm excited to get all my friends together to binge-watch the premiere, and this cake is the perfect dish to serve as we get our butts spooked off.

Start with a classic yellow cake batter, and pour it into a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake it off until golden — it shouldn't take long since the cake is so thin. Mine was ready in 12 minutes, but I suggest checking at 10 just in case your oven runs a little warmer. Next, whip up your glaze. This one is maple-flavored; real fans will understand. 😉
When your cake is iced and cooled, the fun part begins: decorating! Use a black gel icing to make 3 long light strings. Next add your "lights" (peanut M&M's) — make sure you've bought enough to get to 26. Using the same black icing, draw your letters. Worried about being messy? Don't be; it's more authentic!
So cozy up on the couch with a slice of this cake and get spooked! I know I will be.
