Here at TheNextTycoon, we're no stranger to unorthodox ingredients. We put pickles in everything, we put bacon places it shouldn't be, and lately, we've been experimenting with soda.

I know I know, soda is evil. It's packed with sugar, has no nutritional value, and is essentially effervescent sugar. Or so I thought. It turns out, soda is an incredibly versatile ingredient when it comes to cooking and baking. We learned recently that a can of soda + a box of cake mix = a perfectly moist no-fuss cake! We also learned recently that Dr. Pepper makes a delicious sweet and tangy sauce for meatballs. My head was spinning with possibilities!

When I saw a blogger made these orange soda wings I knew I had to give my own version a shot. What resulted was a citrusy-spicy sauce that we found totally irresistible. It uses a whole can of Sunkist, some garlic, some brown sugar, and a whooole lot of hot sauce. Cholula is my personal favorite, but Frank's, Crystal, or even Sriracha would do the trick. I know it may sound crazy, but I think we might have invented the new Buffalo.
