One look at Julianne Hough's feed is enough to make one believe that the former Dancing With the Stars pro is currently living her best life. Over the past decade she made her debut on the ABC competition and was quickly catapulted to superstar status, landing roles in popular films like Rock of Ages, Grease Live!, and Footloose. But it's not necessarily her impressive resume that has her feeling so good lately. The 29-year-old singer and actress recently gushed to PEOPLE about the joys of being married to Canadian hockey player Brooks Laich.
"I feel so much more sexy," she said. "It's so awesome. I love being married so much."
Hough and Laich got married back in July, in an intimate, outdoor ceremony at Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The couple exchanged vows after dating for almost four years, and documented their romantic honeymoon in Seychelles via shortly after.
It's definitely good to see and hear that Hough is in good spirits lately, especially given how vocal she's been recently about her past and current struggles with endometriosis. The dancer opened up to PEOPLE about how difficult it can be to stay positive sometimes while experiencing "episodes" caused by the disorder.
"I have my days for sure," she said. "The other day, I was having a major endometriosis 'episode' is what I call them, and I was just quiet. We went to the beach, and it was fine, but I wasn't active."
But Hough also noted that, in terms of her bad days, she tends to put a lot a lot more emphasis on how she feels than how she looks.
"When we were at the beach and I was having my endo stuff, and we got paparazzi'd and I literally was like, 'Oh my God.' My stomach was like — people were asking me if I was pregnant," she explained. "But it's not so much what I look like; it's how I feel. When I don't work out, I can tell I'm not as limber, I'm not as quick, my brain's not as sharp. When I'm physical, I'm like, 'Aaah! I'm free!'"
